"Instituto de Educación Secundaria Joaquín Turina" is a high school placed in Seville, southern Spain, with around 450 students and 40 teachers. We attend students from 12 to 20 years as we provide secondary education, post-compulsory education and different levels (from basic to high) of Vocational Training courses in the field of management, as well.
The school is located in a low-middle class neighborhood, in the surrounding area of the city centre, with a high rate of unemployment and an increasing amount of immigrants.
Our school is involved in some scientific and human rights projects, and has worked in local projects about cultural prejudices and ethnic minorities. We also have organized some educational trips in and outside Spain where our students could develop the European Dimension of Education.
